Geeks With Blogs

So what could be better than going to Las Vegas to geek out for a week?

As you may have heard that there is a little product launch in November from Microsoft releasing VS2005.  It shouldn't be that big of deal.  Get a few people together and a keg and the next thing you know you have a DevConnections Conference.  :)

Actually, the truth is that ASP.NET DevConnections is got a very nice line up for their conference in Las Vegas.  They have lined up some really great speakers and some very interesting topics.  The dates are Nov 7th - Nov 10th at the Mandalay Bay.  At the same time as the ASP.NET conference, there is also the SQL, C++, and Visual Studio conferences going on that you can partake in too. (Now that is a hell of a deal)  Check it out here.  As an added bonus, all in attendence get a VS 2005 Professional and SQL Server 2005 (1 cal included) for free.

If you decide to go, I would recommend arraging travel through another travel site.  It will end up saving you hundreds of dollars (more to spend at the craps table).  I used WorryFreeVacations and got a great deal staying at the Excalibur hotel just a block away from the Mandalay Bay.

If you are in town and want to get a bit or drink, let me know.  There are some great resturants in Vegas!

Until the next roll.
