I’m not sure I have ever thrown this down in writing. I probably have said this 800 or 900 times, but I think that HTML 5 in SharePoint 2010 sucks. The support is terrible in the two most prevalent web browsers at the enterprise level – Internet Explorer and Firefox. I am definitely on the fence on this one. I love the look and experience of Windows 8 in the video, but I am worried about all the talk about HTML 5 and not hearing anything about the WPF/Silverlight/XNA story. We have seen Microsoft pick these tools for XBox and WP7, but now will they have a cohesive story that will sell tablets and also sell App builders. Based on Yesterday’s post. I thought we could take the new HTML 5, featured offered by Android and iPhone OS 3.0 and do something almost useful with it.
