I've avoided 20/20 in the past because they've been pretty liberal. However, the recent 20/20 by John Stossel was outstanding. It wasn't "Republican," it wasn't "Democrat," it was just a bunch of reality about how crappy our government currently is. If you haven't watched it and care about politics, do yourself a favor and go spend an hour viewing it. It's really quite good. Part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, and part 5. I'll be honest, Obama/Biden scares me. His "spread the wealth around" comment is certainly Marksist. Now, there's an interview by a reporter from WFTV that asks Biden some tough questions. Obama's response, "This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign, according ...
I've maintained that we're hosed, no matter who you vote for, but now there's mathematical proof that regardless of how you vote, you're voting for a white liberal male. Here's the math. 1 Liberal Black Male + 1 Liberal White Male=1 Liberal White Male + 1 Conservative White Female So first, Black Male and White female cancel each other out. They're basically the same thing--both minorities, both oppressed citizens of these united states. That leaves us with: 1 Liberal Black Male + 1 Liberal White ...
I had to travel recently and the "security" person at the strip search line in the airport literally said, "Papers, Please." What? Please tell me you didn't just say that! I can't travel in the United States without proper papers? I also read this article today and wasn't very happy. Why aren't we up in arms about a proposal to search every bit of text that goes over the Internet and monitor it for what the government deems harmful? Do we as an American people realize how much freedom we've given ...
Technorati Tags: Politics Mitt Romney bailed today, leaving only liberals running for president. So here's a question for those of you who dislike the two party system: How does a one party system sound? The republican party is no longer a party of conservatives. One bright note, everyone loves a train wreck and this ought to be one of epic proportions. I think we've just ensured that our next president will either be Clinton or Obama. I'm placing bets that Obama will win. Here's to higher taxes ...

Featured on Programmable Web a couple weeks ago was an API from the Institude On Money in State Politics that allows you to track campaign contributions for candidates. It is pretty neat, and should come in quite handily in 2008. Here is their a view of their data for North Carolina. A while back I posted about Project Vote Smart, and the news that they are planning to make an API available "well before the 2008 elections". With the massive amount of information available at Project Vote Smart, this ...
