Vitamin CH Chocolate: that substance without which we would get nothing done

I've been gone. Did you notice? Well, even if you didn't, you get to hear why...

I've been sick again. One of the realities of my life is that when I do too much, my body rebels. This time, it caught a flu-like bug and decided not to let it go. I am finally crawling out of the worst of it to try and get caught up on things.

I'm still not fully up to speed, but I did want to update you all on a couple of sites you should check out.

First, my good friend Tim Heuer is out traveling the western part of the US on the CodeTrip! This is a great big bus tour of some of the techie events of the western US. It started at Mix 8 and will end at the MVP Summit in Seattle next week. Check out the site. See if it is coming to your place! (Oh, and while you are at it, give Brent Spore some props - won't you? He did the design for the bus wrap and it is awesome!) If you live here in the Valley of the Sun, you might want to clear your schedule for March 24th, the bus will be at a Spring Training game here in Mesa.

Next up, is an update on where I will be over the coming weeks. Mostly, I will be home, but I do have a few things scheduled:

  • March 24th I hope to be at the Spring Training game, energy level allowing
  • April 1st I am doing another Webinar - Fooling the Eye with PowerPoint
  • April 9th I am presenting on Word 2007 at Sunland Springs Computer Club
  • April 5th and 12th I am presenting on Social Media to the ASCIi Group
  • April 13th to the 18th I will be in Seattle for the MVP Summit (looking forward to this one a lot!)

Once Summit is done, I am back here for a bit. My next trip after that won't be until the SouthWest Computer Conference (what used to be SouthWest User Group conference). That will be the last weekend in May. I don't know yet if I am speaking, but I am guessing I will be running around helping out even if I am not. Check it out, the organizational crew has done a great job re-inventing this conference!

One more bit of news, then I will close out for now: We have started getting ready for the next PodCamp AZ. Reserve the dates. It will be November 1st and 2nd, 2008. You read that right - twice the fun this year! We have our first real organizational meeting coming up soon, so watch for updates next month.
