Data Access Application Block 3.0.9.2 was/will be released today.  This is Release Candidate 1 for 3.1.  Hopefully there won't be a Release Candidate 2, because I'm getting tired.  :)  However, there will be one if necessary.

The 3.0.9 releases are essentially bug-fixes to 3.0, with the addition of a few highly requested features, such as:

  • An Oracle helper class
  • More overloads on GetParameter
  • A way to get to other properties of the IDbCommand object, such as CommandTimeout.
  • In addition, the code has been cleaned up quite a bit, and the VB.NET version optimized somewhat.
  • More documentation has been added, including an nDoc generated 'doc' folder (unfortunately, added to the wrong place in the Source Control.  Need to get someone to fix that for me).

My goal is to have 3.1 out by the middle of next month.  Or two weeks after RC2, if an RC2 becomes necessary.

seems like I can't pass null parameters using the helper class.

in the DAAB, pass null parameter to the oracle database seems to be impossible. the layer will throw an exception saying the value is null. does anyone else has the same problem?
