To those that know me, that comes as no surprise.  However, I’m not interested in getting certifications just to add letters to the end of my name.  Every time I have prepared for a certification exam I have learned something.  Sometimes just a little, but usually quite a bit, and always something.

So, it comes as no surprise that I’m interested in the new Microsoft Architect Certifications.  They look like they’re going to be really tough and make a strong statement to a potential employer, client, etc. that you know your stuff.

MS is currently accepting applications for the Messaging Architects program, just scroll down in the article to get application information.  Hopefully applications for the other programs will be accepted soon as well.

Yeah, I love this cert, however, I think I will have a hard time coming up with the $25,000.00 certification fee! ;) I think I would have a hard time even selling that fee to my employer. And you have to work for Microsoft or a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

I thought that was an uncomfirmed rumor, so I'm waiting to see if that's really going to be the case. I can't sell $25,000 to my employer either, unless they suddenly surprise me with generosity. :)
