The book cover for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) was revealed today.

Interesting, isn't it?

A good friend of mine pointed out that it looks to him as if Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort are fighting together against a common enemy.  He also thinks that this might be at the Wizengamot, but it looks more like the Quidditch Pitch at Hogwart's to me.  Still, I could be mistaken.

But who's the common enemy if that is indeed the case?  I suspect RAB, if RAB is still alive.  My friend thinks not, but then he thinks that RAB is dead already.  I disagree, but I do agree that there are problems with him being alive that I'm not sure how Ms. Rowling has resolved.

Oh, this is the USA cover.  The covers in Europe and Canada are quite different.  Jacket notes for the UK cover are here.

What do you think you see?

Well, After looking at closely now, I would agree that it isn't the Wizengamot and that Chris is propably right about it being a Quidditch pitch.

However, I do not think they are fighting RAB because RAB is dead. It could be SS. The scenario being that SS has revealed himself as loyal to the OoP and not LV so LV wants to run him through. HP might be on board given SS history and involvement of LP, JP, and AD. All right, I know its weak but its something? Maybe they are just waving to Ron and Hermione after their wedding?

No, the wedding in year 7 is Fleur and Bill. Haven't you been paying attention? :)

Also, I just don't think that RAB is dead. Do you think that he got the horcrux before the death that we already "know" about? Or did he "die", get the horcrux and die for real some time later.

Based on the tone of his message, I always assumed that it was written AFTER his alleged death. I suppose he could've died for real at some point after that, but that seems unlikely.

However, Jon's right. The most likely scenario is that he really did die when we think he did, and that this note was written before then.

Oh. Add Fleur and/or Bill to my list of potential casualties. If I can figure out how to do a poll, I'm going to add that in another post.

It looks to me like they're thru the veil and they're calling their wands to them, or maybe just one wand.
