Gliffy: Great example of software as a service!

Thursday, March 15, 2007 3:12 PM

You're surfing the web when all of a sudden you have the need to create a UML diagram! But Visio isn't installed on your laptop...or maybe you're looking around your office and get inspiration to redesign the layout, but you don't have any paper or pen (but you do have a web-enabled laptop)?

Fear not...Gliffy is here!

Gliffy is a "software as a service" beta application that is...well, basically Visio on the web! You can sign up for a free account now to try it out. It's actually very kewl...all files are saved to the server there, and you can access them via a familiar menu system (file/edit/etc.).

Very kewl.

I use gliffy quite a lot myself. Very cool and creates some pretty spectacular looking diagrams for you in a matter of minutes! 3/15/2007 7:52 PM | Shaneo

And pretty damn easy to use. It has enough of what you need to get some diagrams done before you run out of images. 3/19/2007 8:47 PM | Kelly
