Making it through the day one post at a time
The bold and italic part below is the disclaimer. Were you at the San Diego .NET User Group meeting a couple of nights ago? Paul Sherrif (who did an awesome Whidbey presentation) and I gave away TWO, yes *TWO* XBoxes. There was thousands of dollars worth of books and software given away (as usual), and free pizza (as usual), and superb world-class technical content (as usual), but this is the first time we've given away XBoxes. It may not be the last (I didn't win and wouldn't mind another chance ......
Got this off Scott Woodgate's blog. I am sure everyone knows already, but for those who don't. Enjoy. Get it here. I strongly recommend that everybody trys this in your test environments and then puts it into production. Along with the usual bug fixes provided in service packs you can expect up to a 10% performance increase in some scenarios. This is thoroughly recommended and has been well tested by our EAP customer (thanks). Along with Service Pack 1 we are also releasing the BizTalk Server 2004 ......
It seems that TechEd 2005 Registration is open! I hope to see you all there.

I have seen Click-Once Deployment in action at TechEd 2004 (presented by the PM / fellow alumnus of Virginia Tech) and I cannot wait till it is fully released. I can see deployment headaches vanishing in my corporate environment. I wish it was already going into production. The Smart Client Developer Center on MSDN has just released an article that discusses the features of both Windows Installer and Click-Once Deployment and then provides guidance on how to choose the right option for your application. ......
Wired News talks about about photo sharing sites. Check it out and start moblogging. I should finally get around to getting a better cell phone. Mine doesn't even have a camera. Related... [Wired News] [Now Playing: Green Day - Holiday (03:53)] ......

There should be an increase of late night posts from me. I went out and bought a wireless router today. Now I can roam my apartment and post from the TV area or the bed. :-)
I have just signed up to Technorati . It seems that no one have ever linked to me =(. Am I doing something wrong or is no one really linking to me?
Thanks for any help.
I have updated my MSN search look. Feel free to use it. Thanks again to David Cumps for the original. MSN search (beta) function blogSearchMSN(event, oInput) { var keyCode = (event) ? event.keyCode : keyStroke.which; if (keyCode == 13) { top.location = 'http://beta.search.msn.com... + escape(oInput.value) + '&FORM=QBRE'; return false; } return true; } function blogSearchMSN2(oInputId) { var oInput = document.getElementById(oIn... top.location = 'http://beta.search.msn.com... ......
While ingesting my daily does of blogs I came across David Cumps. I decided adding search to my blog would be fun. The catch is I wanted to use MSN Search Beta, so i did. Here is how to do it: follow this link to David's page and follow his instructions: Adding Search to my blog. Now replace this top.location = 'http://search.msn.com/advr... + escape(oInput.vaule) + '%20 cumpsd&FORM=SMCA&ad... ......
I was inspired by Sergey Simakov to change my blog design, he makes a quick post here: Design changes. On that post he mentions David Cumps, which showed how to add search to his blog. Well I have taken that and modified it to use MSN search beta. I will be making a post shortly on how to do this ......
Scoble say more people are joining Microsoft the new IBM band wagon. Microsoft has recently been shown in this light, but I see a turn around in the way Microsoft is on the verge of a turning point. Where do I see this inflection point coming from? The MSN search team, I think this team deserves Microsoft's most responsive team of the year award (if there is such a thing). When the MSN Toolbar Suite and the Beta web site was released, the team actively searched the web to see what people where talking ......
My first article, QuickStart Guide to Installing & Configuring BizTalk Server 2004 for Windows Server 2003 Multi-Box Installation , has hit over 1000 hits (1176 to be exact). I first posted this guide on the on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 11:49 AM. So I am averaging about a 100 hits a week. Seems like the biggest help so far has been fixing the DTC error, when people install BizTalk 2004. Well it might not be exciting for you, but it is for me ......
