Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I have been so busy that I need to start sleeping less or something. Presently I am doing a two-week stint in Europe for Reuters which I get to do every couple of months or so. This trip includes Zürich, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Lisbon and London. That is a lot of taxi rides. I love getting to all the different Reuters offices around the world as we have a great staff and I have many friends in these different offices. One of my co-workers here in Frankfurt just got a new BMW (company car for the employees here ... wish we Americans had those perks) and had to show me what it could do on the Autobahn. We went out and did 200km/hour (not sure what that is in MPH), it was fun. Heading to Helsinki for the weekend for a BBQ with a friend before heading to Lisbon. See you at TechEd. 200kph is about 130mph. I sometimes go that fast when I am on the autobahn. Thee fastest I have ever been in a car, was in a Mercedes S430 4.3 V8 - 161mph - terrifying, a mile every 25 seconds. Needless to say, most Americans reading this have not gone that fast, because they are in America. But it's just something you might want to do once in your life. But obviously, only on the autobahn, not I-95. And even doing that on the autobahn, the German police will catch you and jail you. I didn't do that speed on the autobahn and to avoid getting arrested I will keep the country I was in to myself.
