Just back from TechEd 2004 and now onto the Technology Management Conference in NYC. A brief synopsis of what this is:

“This is the annual management education program designed expressly for individuals within securities firms who have management responsibility for technology-based support activities, including: communications, market data, trading room support, web and Internet technology and information systems. Vendors of related securities industry specific products and services will overflow the three-floor exhibit facility of The Hilton New York in what will be the largest exhibit of its kind ever assembled. “

This is basically the biggest technology conference for the financial services industry. Reuters always has a tremendously large pavillion there and there is a booth in the pavillion for a server that delivers market data and services via HTTP. I have a bunch of web services demos and consuming applications that will be shown and I am therefore heading over for all the fun of the event. It is also nice to see what the competitors are up to these days.
