REVIEW: RalliSport Challenge I and II (XBOX)
So you want to rally, eh? For this review, I will look at the three rally games that I have on the XBOX. The first is the original RalliSport Challenge. When I first got this game, I thought it was the best game on the XBOX (yes, it was that good). RalliSport2 Challenge is EVEN BETTER. The graphics are superb, the handling is outstanding and the tracks are incredible. The best part is that in RalliSport2 is that you (as the driver) get to work through a true rally (you work through multiple stages), ......

Help with Wrox's Professional Visual Basic book
Here's a question for you ... I am in the process of writing the next edition of WROX's Professional Visual Basic 2005 book (due out next summer) and the last appendix of the book is going to list the best resources out there for Visual Basic developers (online, offline, whatever). Of course we have the MSDN Visual Basic Developer Center .... but what else would you suggest should be included in the list? Thanks for your suggestions ......

Chip Implants
No matter how easy life would get for me for doing this .... I would never get a chip implant. Here is a story from the BBC about their Science producer getting an implant in Barcelona so that he can have his drinks automatically debited to his account while “clubbing“ through the implant in his arm. Ok ... that's just plain disturbing to me.

Should Microsoft refocus their music format preferences?
When people talk, trade, and listen to digitalized music - in most cases they are talking about their MP3 collection. MP3s are everywhere and their have been a few companies that have been fighting the wave saying that they are offering a better solution to digital music/audio. For example, Microsoft has been pushing WMA files as *the* solution for years now. They say they sound better - maybe so. Sony has their Atrac format which they say is better - maybe so. All this while the rest of the world ......

Atari Anthology
I will buy this only because I have to. It seems Atari will release all of their classic games on a single XBOX disc. From CNN: “ .. "Atari Anthology" will feature 85 games and is scheduled to go on sale in November at a cost of about $20.” I grew up on this stuff ... lame as their are in today's eyes, but at the time, my younger brother and I thought we were the coolest kids on the block when my father came home with our Atari. Therefore, I must purchase this for the memories. Games ......

SPAM will continue for awhile longer

Yesterday, the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) rejected Microsoft's email sender ID proposal which was developed in an effort to thwart SPAM. The IETF was worried about Microsoft's patent claims on the technology and what that meant for adoption.

Windows Media Player 10
I just built a new computer and put XP SP2 on it and then went out to upgrade the Media Player (hehe, always the first step). I then found that the Windows Media Player 10 has been released. I have to say that I really like the new media player. It took me a second to figure out how to find the File dialog (you have to right-click your mouse on the upper-most bar) as it doesn't appear by default. Is it possible that my .mp3s actually ......
