College or no college? Jump into work, or push through the education.

I've decided to go back to college full time again. Michigan Tech was a fun time filled with lots of friends and lots of very good times. Now it's time to go back to those fun times, full time. I have two years left to get my bachelors degree in Computer Science and now I'm serious about getting it. I've worked in the tech industry in New Hampshire for 8 months now for one company. Now, they're either going out of business or they're getting sold off...

So, now is the best time to get out while I can. I'll be headed back to Michigan Tech from Salem, NH. It's a 1,250 mile trip over a 2 day period.

Garrett, glad to hear your coming back to Houghton. Where you living at? I'm moving into Hancock in a few weeks. You going to work with Husky Games again? I just got a released version of Final Odyssey, quite fancy looking. Same old game though. I am going back to grad school but for an MBA... Hope to see you around.

I know I'm nearly a month late on this but I'm excited to hear that you're going back to MTU. I was surprised to hear that you'd left and I think it's a good decision to finish out your CS degree. Word of advice: now that you've got a taste of what the 9-5 working man's life is like, I'd suggest doing some off the wall things in college if you can manage to afford it.

Namely, go study abroad somewhere for a year. Doesn't particularly matter where but I'm sure Jason Anderson will be happy to regale you of his adventures in Japan when he gets back to MTU next year. I know it sounds like a lot of money, and it is, but there are scholarships and grants out there if you look hard enough (Jason got some and so did Sean). You won't have that many opportunities to spend that much time in another part of the world and I think it's a really good idea to take it now!

In any case that was my long-winded way of saying that I'm glad you're back in college. Hopefully I'll see you there when I finally get around to visiting campus sometime in the fall.

Hey Garrett, you update your visions of afar site much? I haven't seen anything new in a while. Been working on anything as of late?
