Joseph Baggett Mr. Code Generator

I am looking to find other people that have worked with code generation on project developement to discuss strageties, design patterns, and areas on which code generation adds value using code generation tools, and not limited to commercial generators like CodeSmith/CodeBreeze.  I generate all layers from the web service to database layers and occasionally generate code for the web interface and I'm trying to finalize generating the base line files for projects like the solution and project files.  I find it to benefitial to generate things outside of mainstream project development such as windows services, etc.

A current project I am doing on the side, I generated over 200,000 lines of code, which all fell into using "smart" business objects with solid object oriented design.  It feels good to know I don't have to start from scratch.

I will be attending the Dallas .Net user group on March13th to check out the Visual Studio templates and what value they offer.  I'll keep you informed on what I find out.

Joseph
