Since I last posted (2 years or so back), I've left my big company, gone to a very small company, then gone back to a bigger company.

That's a long story, which I'll relate another time.  It's probably best if beer is involved.

I've been away for a while, mostly because I was overwhelmed by the number of people blogging, and by the associated unlikelihood that anyone would read (or give a damn) about my thoughts.
