Geeks With Blogs

I have finally come to a conclusion. I don't make this blog personal enough. When catching up on some of my blogging friends (is anyone else thinking that the word “blogging” is becoming too much of a “catch-phrase”?), I realized that most of the blogs that I love to follow are the blogs that are basically online journals or are quite personal. Sure, there are blogs out there that I love that are purely technical, but I think the beauty with blogs is that you (the reader) get to know the person *behind* the blog.

Why is it that I've tried to be so technical to this point? Easy, because of the signal to noise ratio. Especially with more blogs popping about around the internet, I want to try to “stick out”. For me, I think the best way to do that is to be personal. There are plenty blogs out there that just serve as relay devices, echoing news that's already been stated elsewhere a thousand times. I have tried hard to not be “one of those” blogs. Since we are all still feeling our way around what our blogs are about, I think some of you know where I'm coming from.

With that said, I don't care what any of you think, I am going to try to make this blog more personal, and make it more of an insight into my real life. Of course, you will probably get bored really quickly when I realize just how boring of a person I am. You will not read anything about fanatical sex escapades, large coke parties where the lines of coke are more numerous than pimples on a teenage pizza-lover, or about freaky bathroom encounters where I meet someone famous and fall in love (and ultimately get married only to divorce the person and become a millionaire!!!). You will however read about just how boring my life is, how much of an A-type personality I am NOT, how I have way too many commitments and not enough time for all of them, and about many other aspects that I ultimately fail at. Okay, it may not be that bad, but perhaps I will be able entertain at least a few of you because I think the entertaining blogs are the most fun blogs to read.

I'd settle for just the address of one of those parties?

Just once? :)
