Random Musing Putting it together one piece at a time...

Even though I'm a huge supporter of Microsoft products, there're a few of them which are just not up to the mark as when placed side by side with its competitor. We all know the story, vs, Virtual Earth vs Google Earth, Encarta vs Wikipedia and a lot more.

When it comes to Internet Explorer, the first alternative browser that comes to mind for most people is Firefox. I have however, swore my loyalty to Opera (when it was at version 3) ever since I realised how extremely useful its built-in mouse gesture functionality is.

If its not because of this neat utility, my loyalty to Opera would not have been shaken.

Mouse gestures are godsend for lazy surfers, like me. Instead of using keyboard shortcuts for navigation convenience, it allows you to define small movements in your mouse to do the common stuffs like 'navigate back', 'new page', 'duplicate page' etc. Simply configure it from this small menu

and you're good to go!

Go try it, now I'm a huge fan of Internet Explorer 7.
