"Cross-thread operation not valid"
What a horrible error message :\ Ok; so I wanted to write a program that used a FileSystemWatcher to monitor what happened to a games folder system, when I applied a patch. Why ? Because I could :P Anyway, long and short of it; when the event fired on the FileSystemWatcher I made it to write the message to a list on my my form. Simple you might say, except every time if tried to do lstText.Items.Add(...) it through that exception! This is actually a new change to .Net 2.0; it's not a problem in 2003 ......

Metablog API.ASPX

Ok, I'm picky - I don't like Live Writers bugs but I admit it's new so I ll be patient., I don't like the way that Zoundry rewrites my HTML for me; I consider that to be very rude :D

I'm a good programmer, so I will just write my own blogging interface , I think - but I just want to ask how to use the Metablogapi.aspx that GWB provides.
Do I connect to is programmatically like it's a web service ?

Software analysis
I'm working on a new project and I want to analyse the structure of the software that I've 'Inherited' O_oCan anyone suggest some kind of automatic profiling software that watches my code and kinda traces it's execution path from initial page OnInit to the file Rendering ? So, Live Writer or other blogging advice needed;
Hmm ... Well, I've got to admit, my first blog effort was a slight lie, I didn't actually use Live Writer to post it, I just copied and pasted the HTML (that I had to refactor :\ ) to make my first post, hoping that it would solve the Error message I was getting. It didn't. Ok, When I use Live Writer to either Post or view posts on my blog, I get "Server Error 0 Occured; User Does not exist". Apart from nullifying my existance :( I know I gave it the correct Service API as it downloaded my blog style ......

Hello, World!

Gosh, aren't I original :)

Actually, I've just had this blog setup and I'm checking out the Live Writer beta from Microsoft. So far, so good.

Well, I'm a .Net developer from Nottingham in the UK, I'm interested any any number of geeky subjects but my current passion is for Patterns, MVP and proper Data Structures; Nested sets anyone ?

So I'll be blogging about those a bit, I guess :)
