Theo Moore Questions... Morphology? Longevity? Incept dates?

I recently saw the movie Serenity, and was pretty impressed. I might have even posted on this before. Pretty good movie, I thought, with some good potential. A buddy had recommended it to me many times, but I tend to get distracted sometimes and don't always get around to doing things people suggest. Call it a failing of mine. I think perhaps the first time I'd heard of the movie was in 2004 when it was released to theatres.

Well, I was watching HBO one time in Atlanta, and there it was. I figured it was time to see it, that perhaps destiny itself was playing a hand in things (Sorry, couldn't help the romanticized view). So, I watched.....

And now, I own the complete series DvD of Firefly and am looking to get the collector's edition of Serenity. I was even looking at model kits of the weapons the crew of Serenity carried that are on ebay. I've been converted. I never imagined how excellent the tv show was. I never thought I'd become so interested in the stories and would so totally enjoy the universe Joss Whedon has created. I am fan, and I will always be. I purchased a graphic novel today from the Firefly universe. What a rich tapestry against which great stories could be told. I sure hope they continue in some fashion for a long time, even if only in comics.

It's a genuine shame the show canceled, and after only 14 episodes. I keep thinking how cool it would have been to know more about the characters, about their own individual stories. So many questions, perhaps never answered. Pity.

It's like finding out someone is gone, and realizing the funeral was a long time ago. I am mourning the passing of the show, and it was so long most people have gotten over it. How odd that must sound....

If only you and 20 million other people had jumped on the badwagon, we'd still be getting new episodes

Yep, it was a shame FOX cancelled that show. It is a delicious mix of the Wild West and Star Trek. Sadly, FOX never understood how to market it.

Hopefully Weadon will keep making films though...OR maybe enough grassroots interest will bring the show back..I mean they did that with Family Guy right??

Well it's about damn time Theo.

This isn't the first show Fox failed to handle properly... those morons cancelled Buffy (which was picked up by UPN) and Angel too.

Kinda makes you wonder who Joss Whedon pissed off at Fox.

If you like his style, he did some terrific work with the XMen too.

and don't give up hope, there is talk of a sequel to Firefly.

Yeah, my wife and I devoured this series. We were one of the ones who should have been on that bandwagon too. Just a fantastic show.

I love watching NBC's Chuck, just because every time I see "Jane" I smile.

I absolutely love the Space Western and totally agree. It's a really great show and I'd love to see more!
